Why pure Grapeseed Oil for our Spa Therapy Body Oils?
We use only pure Grapeseed Oil, pressed from the seeds of grapes used in winemaking in Italy, for the base of our Spa Therapy Body Oils. It naturally has the highest amount of antioxidents of any of the oils, plus we enrich it with extra Vitamin E.
We have found that Grapeseed has the longest shelf life, particularly compared to the nut oils. It doesn't have a characteristic fragrance of its own, just a "buttery" richness that adds warmth but doesn't interfere with any of our fragrances.
Experience also shows that it has the most desireable working characteristics, is non-greasy, doesn't break down quickly, and leaves the skin fresh and soft.
Our purely "unscientfic theory," is that when several base oils are blended, which is common practice with many other products, all those molecules "don't know how to get along with each other," leading to a slippery and greasy feeling. Sure, it may be a little more costly to use only the finest Grapeseed Oil, but we're know that you, your skin, and your clients (if you're a professional therapist) will agree: this is one area where cutting corners just doesn't cut it!
