Who is Jenny Hart?
When I was working on coming up with a name for the company, I wanted something with "heart" in it. As I was trying different word combinations, I flashed upon the face of a dear friend from earlier years, Jenny. "Jenny Heart...Jenny HART!"
I figured if Betty Crocker and Sara Lee could do it, I could use a made up name, too...
At that time, my web search uncovered just two mentions of that name; a botanist "down under," and a young artist in the U.S. And, the .com domain name was available.
Well, since that time, that young artist has skyrocketed to fame to become the modern goddess of embroidery. Her Sublime Stitching company has been featured in all the magazines, and she herself has published a book. We wish her phenomenal continued success.
Meanwhile, the Jenny who inspired the name has become a registered massage therapist, and maintains a practice here in Los Angeles (www.bodyhealingtemple.com). She also is a talented actor who you may catch occassionally on TV or in a new sitcom. When we can afford it, I hope she would consider being our company "spokesmodel!"
The Jenny Hart Story (so far)

I have owned a graphic design business since 1995. As a lover of fragrances and aromatherapy, I decided several years ago to make fragrance-based gifts to send to my clients. I had eaten Thai food the night before, and one of my favorite dishes is flavored with Lemongrass and Mint leaves. I looked at my collection of essential oils, and discovered that I had both of those oils on hand. I blended them together, and it smelled good; but too sweet and “foody.” It's amazing how inspiration comes through...
At that same time I was also in process redesigning the visual identity of my design company. The color palette that I had settled on was comprised of yellow, green and purple. I glanced over as I was blending fragrances and said to myself, “I have yellow with the Lemongrass, green with the Mint; what do I have that's purple?” I scanned through my little bottles and found Lavender oil. I added a few drops to the mix, and it was transformed into something absolutely enchanting. I was very excited, and ran to the restaurant downstairs from my studio with the mix in hand. “Smell this...what do you think?” I asked both friends and strangers who had gathered for lunch. Everyone agreed that it was something special.
I fragranced sachets and massage oil with my new blend, originally called “Escape” and sent them on their way. I got feedback from the recipients that this blend was “magical” and the “most perfect fragrance ever!” I decided to let a few friends who were massage therapists give the oil a try. The feedback I got was that it was one of the best oils they had ever used.
I decided that it as worth a try to go into production, as the feedback had been so positive. I had no idea where to get my base oil, Grapeseed, in larger quantities. I put it out to the Universe that I needed a supplier. A couple days later I was at a car wash. While I was waiting, I was checking out the auto air fresheners (of course), and I looked down on the bottom shelf. There were cases of Grapeseed oil! I ran to the counter and asked them why they had Grapeseed oil? The woman told me that they were friends with the owners of the company – a manufacturer and direct importer of the oil from Italy. And they were about a 5 minute drive from my studio. They have been my primary supplier ever since! I also needed bottles in larger quantities. Another acquaintance said “Talk to my friend, she owns a packaging company on the other side of town.”
Through the efforts of a dear therapist friend, and selling the products at a bi-annual event where I have my design and art studio, I slowly garnered a regular mail order clientele. Now, as our company company continues to grow, I have a great group of employees, friends and associates that help me blend, bottle, label and ship. Every bottle is still made by hand, and with a lot of love. Our line has expanded, but we know, nothing could make us change anything about our Original Triple-R formula which the Universe bestowed upon us as a wonderful gift. We hope it is a gift of healing to you and your clients, if you are a health practitioner.
